A number of years ago someone e-mailed me a story, the main plot of which was Mulder and Scully fighting over an ice cream and having to be separated by Skinner. It wasn't a particularly good story or very well written, but it did make me wonder what the hell was going on. Who had written this lttle vignette and why? I shook my head, non-plussed, and moved on with my life.

Then, sometime later I got hooked on Stargate SG1. My obsession was complete and overwhelming and I bowed before the Great God Google and all the Stargate related search results with which it presented me. Thus I discovered the phenomenon known as fan fiction and the memory of the little X-files tale leapt back into my mind.

Apparently, for years, people (primarily women, it seemed) had been doing on paper (and, latterly, their keyboards) what I had been doing in my head since I was a kid - making up stories about their favourite TV shows and characters. A world had just opened before me and I jumped in, feet first (this mixed metaphor will give you an insight into the quality of my writing back then - I hope I've improved since).

Since Stargate (a fandom I've long since said goodbye to with nary a backward glance) I've been involved in a number of fandoms and in most of them I've written fanfic of some sort. This post is an attempt to catalogue the fic I've posted on LJ (Sam and Jack will not be making an appearance) and keep everything in the one place. I hope I've remembered them all.

In the meantime, thanks to everyone past and present, who has taken the time to read any of the stories I've written and to leave feedback afterwards. It's always appreciated.

It should be noted that, since getting into the Pirates of the Caribbean fandom many of my fics include sexual scenes and many are rated NC-17, so bear that in mind before you read.

This is the list so far. I'm sure there'll be more to come.

Ahhh...aren't the memories of the beginning of that which is so important to us wonderful? 9 years...lucky you. I only just discovered fanfiction this past July. Some wonderful person posted a link to her fic in a reply to my Y!A question. I left the link saved, untouched in my email, having a vague idea what it was going to be. Somewhere in the back of my mind I had known there had to be something like this out there. I finally clicked the link a week later, that was the end of the Real World for me! I'm not a writer, but reading fics makes me so happy.

"Apparently, for years, people (primarily women, it seemed) had been doing on paper (and, latterly, their keyboards) what I had been doing in my head since I was a kid - making up stories about their favourite TV shows and characters. A world had just opened before me and I jumped in, feet first"

I just really liked the way you said that. I did that when I was a kid too. And more recently than that!

Thanks for writing that beautiful J/E fic, it had been awhile since I came across such a well-written one. I have resorted to re-re-reading good fics, because I can't seem to find any that I haven't read!

LOL I know that feeling well! But I'm so glad I found fanfic because its opened up loads new entertainment for me that goes beyond the limits of a TV show or movie.

I'm glad you enjoyed the recent fic and I hoped you stay tuned for more :)

Your post perfectly summed up the feelings I had after discovering the X-men fan fiction universe when I was a teen (years before the movies).

Thanks for the index though, I'll have to read your studio 60 fic soon. Loved that show.

I love fic for opening up new avenues for both readers and writers. I dont know what I'd have doe if I hadn't discovered it.

And I was a huge fan of S60 and so gutted when it was cancelled. Hope you enjoy the fic if you have time to read it :D

LOL that is exactly how I was too! We have so much in common ;)

I started when I was oh so young, with Star Wars (in my head...mostly, I think I burned anything else) then Star Trek Next Gen. (unfortunaly some of that was written down too... though I had some help from a friend... I believe we burned this too. It is something we never spoke of again...)

Anyway, not so much with the writing anything :) But have recently got back into the X-Files....write me some X-Files!

Hope you had a fab Christmas hon, talk to you soon!
XXXOOO

Oh now I'm sure your TNG fic would fetch a lot on ebay if it was ever discovered! Like a lost song by the Beatles lol

And you should read that X Files ice cream fic. It was wonderful ;)
